Bringing the beauty of nature into the garden

Greenman Garden Company was started in 2002 by Mitch and Alicia Hampton in Dickson, Tennessee. We specialize in creating and caring for quiet, natural shade gardens.

Our work focuses on moss gardens, stumperies, native plants and non-invasive exotics, and careful fine pruning of small trees and shrubs (including Japanese maples and the clouding of boxwoods). We also offer garden restoration, maintenance, and herb & pollinator gardens.

Mitch is a former ISA arborist. Many of the gardens we work in have been featured on TV, online, and in magazines.

We believe a good garden should feel calm and natural. Whether we’re designing a new moss garden, shaping a small tree, or bringing an overgrown space back to life, our goal is simple: create outdoor spaces that feel quiet, green, and lasting.
